Modesto Church of the Brethren

Join us in caroling to our members and folks that cannot come to a service this year!  We will meet at the church for dinner at 6:00pm and meet in the Narthex of the Modesto Church of the Brethren at 6:30pm.  Lyrics to well known carols will be distributed and you can plan on heading back to the church about 7:30pm-8:00pm to head home.

Watch our youth put on the Christmas play!  This years play is Matt & Lucy’s Version Birth’s.

The production will be in the Sanctuary on Dec. 19th @ 11:00am.

You supply the labor, we’ll supply the donuts!  Come to the church to help get the church ready for the winter season and other tasks in need of attention.  Bring your tools if you have them and get ready to get dirty!  Focus will be on Tree Trimming and cleaning gutters.

As part of our community outreach support, we provide dinner to the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter at 9th & D Streets in Modesto dinner on Wednesday nights from November through April.

Shelter service begins November 10th and sign ups are available through the church office or at dinner Wednesday nights at 6:00pm.  We meet to serve at 6:30pm in the church Kitchen.  Questions? Call the office @ (209)523-1438.

Our 3rd Annual Christmas Giving Tree will be up and accepting sponsors to pick a lucky child off the tree on Sunday November 7th.  Sponsors are asked to take the tag with the child’s information with them, write their name on the attached tag indicating who the sponsor is for that child and place it in the box by the tree in the Narthex.

All gifts must be turned in by Sunday, December 5th!
